The book club is meeting at my house tomorrow. It’s a brunch-time thing. Originally I thought I would make a couple of savory tarts, put out fresh berries, and make cookies for the sweet thing.

Now I’ve scratched cookies and either will buy a frosted cake from Wegmans (the round cakes are really good, for store cake), or just make sweet whipped cream or take it two steps further and make mousse. Fresh berries are on. Maybe also fresh vegetables and hummus.

I love those savory tart things (look up galettes on Smitten Kitchen - I make her zucchini and ricotta one, and another with goat cheese, caramelized onions, and thyme), so it would be fine if there were leftovers, because I’m a black hole for food. But efffffoooorrrt. Maybe buying pizza dough and making a rolled up bread thing would be good enough.
